The employees' refusal led the suspect to flee the scene towards the H-1 Freeway by jumping a fence. HPD is actively seeking information from the public to identify and locate this individual.

The situation in Ewa Beach unfolded mid-morning on April 16th when officers responded to a report of a man refusing to comply with a court order to surrender firearms. The 49-year-old man barricaded himself inside a home on Kaileolea Drive. Specialized police units responded, and the road was closed between Kapolei Parkway and Kaiee Street as a precaution. The situation was resolved peacefully when the man surrendered to authorities around 11:30 a.m. He was arrested for failing to comply with the firearm surrender order.
