Honda Recalls 259,000 Vehicles Over Brake Pedal Issue

The faulty brake pin was traced back to a production issue at a US plant that has since been relocated to Mexico. The new facility has implemented enhanced quality control measures, including camera sensors, to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.

How to Prepare:

The recall affects certain 2021–2025 Acura TLX, 2023–2025 Acura MDX, and 2023–2025 Honda Pilot models.

A misplaced pin on the brake pedal arm may cause it to shift out of position, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Honda will notify owners of affected vehicles by mail. Notification letters are expected to be mailed out on July 28.

There have been three warranty claims related to the recall, but no reported injuries or deaths linked to the matter.
