Fairfield University Hosts Teddy Bear Drive and Modified SantaCon 2025

Fairfield University is actively working to engage with and support its community through charitable initiatives and event modifications. The Teddy Bears With Love Drive has been a long-standing tradition, collecting over 28,000 stuffed animals to date. This initiative demonstrates the university's commitment to giving back and providing comfort to children in need.

SantaCon, traditionally a large public gathering, has been a source of concern for Fairfield residents due to issues like public intoxication and property damage. In response, Fairfield University is hosting a private, ticketed SantaCon event for its students and registered guests. This decision reflects a proactive approach to managing the event's impact on the town and ensuring a safer environment for all. The event will be held at Jennings Beach and will be monitored by police.

You can drop off new teddy bears and stuffed animals at the Fairfield University Store or at designated events like the alumni advent mass and photos with Santa event and the Fairfield Shop & Stroll.

SantaCon 2025 is a private, ticketed event exclusively for Fairfield University students and their registered guests who are 21 years or older. Attendees must provide identification and a ticket to gain entry. Open containers, alcohol on the beach, disorderly conduct, and pedestrian safety violations will be addressed by Fairfield police.
