Man Arrested for Threatening to Kill Tulsi Gabbard and Family

Aliakbar Mohammad Amin, 24, faces a federal charge for allegedly sending threatening text messages to former U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard and her husband between March 29 and April 1. The Justice Department said the threats included statements such as "Prepare to die, you, Tulsi, and everyone you hold dear," and warned that Gabbard's home "is a legitimate target." Federal authorities found additional threatening messages on Amin's social media accounts, including images depicting a gun pointed at a photograph of Gabbard and her husband. A firearm was also recovered from Amin's home.
