Washington Post Journalist Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

Thomas LeGro, who served as the Deputy Director of Video at the Washington Post, faces serious charges after an FBI search of his residence on June 26 led to the discovery of child pornography on his work laptop. The investigation, led by the FBI Washington Field Office’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, found a folder containing 11 videos depicting child sexual abuse material. A fractured hard drive was also found near the laptop. LeGro, who joined the Washington Post in 2013 and was part of the team that won a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of Roy Moore's Senate candidacy, has been placed on leave by the Washington Post. The case is ongoing, with federal authorities continuing their investigation.
