Zaquan Jamison Arrested in North Charleston for Santee Murder

On August 16, 2025, Zaquan Shaquez Jamison surrendered to the North Charleston Police Department, bringing an end to the manhunt. Jamison was wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on Boo Circle in Santee in mid-January, which resulted in the death of 17-year-old Ja'Mareion Crawford and endangered several other individuals present at the scene.

Jamison contacted dispatchers and informed them of his intention to turn himself in. Upon exiting a residence on Evanston Boulevard, he was taken into custody and transferred to the Al Cannon Detention Center before being handed over to the Santee Police Department.

Santee Police Chief Kevin Borghi identified Jamison as the suspect and detailed the charges against him, including one count of murder, ten counts of attempted murder, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. The multiple attempted murder charges stem from the presence of other individuals in the home during the shooting.
