Tarleton State Names Dr. Donalyn Alexander Dean of School of Nursing

Dr. Donalyn Alexander's appointment as Dean of the School of Nursing at Tarleton State University is poised to bring significant advancements to the program. Her extensive background includes nearly two decades in the Department of Education and Professional Development at Hendrick Health in Abilene, coupled with roles as a clinical nurse, instructor, program director, and professor.

During her tenure at Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing, Dr. Alexander demonstrated exceptional leadership, guiding the program to achieve a perfect 100% first-time pass rate on the NCLEX-RN exam in 2020. Furthermore, since 2019, the university has maintained a pass rate of 90% for first-time test takers, exceeding the state requirement of 80%.
