Mario Barth Cancels Hamburg & Braunschweig Shows Due to Illness

Mario Barth, a staple in the German comedy scene known for his energetic performances and often polarizing humor, took to Instagram on Friday to announce the cancellations. In a video message, punctuated by coughs, the 52-year-old explained his situation from his sickbed.

"I rarely do this because I'm usually always fit," Barth stated, adding that he likely contracted a virus during his performance in Bremen on Thursday. He emphasized his and his team's rule: "You don't perform with a fever." Despite his illness, Barth maintained his humor, joking, "Even international superstars get the sniffles sometimes."

The cancellations affect the show planned for Friday, April 4th, 2025, in Braunschweig's Volkswagenhalle and the one on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, in Hamburg's Barclays Arena. Both events were reportedly sold out.

Fortunately for fans, the shows are postponed, not cancelled outright. The new dates are set for later in the year:
