After a promising debut, "The Bondsman," starring Kevin Bacon as a resurrected bounty hunter, faced an abrupt cancellation by Prime Video. The show blended action, horror, and supernatural elements, featuring Bacon as Hub Halloran, tasked with capturing escaped demons.

Despite an initial Rotten Tomatoes score of 100% (later dropping to 83%) and a place in Nielsen's Top 10 streaming rankings during its first week, "The Bondsman" failed to maintain momentum. Variety's Alison Herman noted the challenge of establishing the show within its limited eight-episode first season.
