Charleston Airshow 2026: What to Know

The 2026 Charleston Airshow is anticipated to draw significant crowds to the Charleston area. To ensure a smooth experience, attendees should plan their travel in advance, arrive early, and be aware of road closures and parking restrictions.

Road Closures and Parking:

Starting at 10 a.m., road closures and tow zones will be enforced around the South Carolina Aquarium, Waterfront Park, and The Battery. Residents in those zones will be able to access their homes, but street parking will not be available during show hours. Several parking garages downtown will have a $10 flat rate all day. These garages include Aquarium garage, Gilliard garage, Cumberland Street garage, and East Bay/Prioleau garage.

Where to Watch:

Designated viewing zones include the Aquarium Wharf, Waterfront Park, The Battery, and Demetre Park. Other potential viewing locations are the walkway along the S.C. Aquarium, Maritime Center and the International African American Museum, May Forest State Park (ticketed event), Melton Peter Demetre Park on James Island, and Mount Pleasant’s Waterfront Park.

Weather:

While rain is in the forecast, air show officials are monitoring the weather and, as of now, the show will go on. Updates will be shared via the Team Charleston social media page. If it is canceled, the show cannot be rescheduled.

The show will proceed unless weather poses a serious safety risk. Some flying demonstrations may be delayed.
