The Preakness Stakes, a historic horse race, is celebrating its 150th anniversary with a revised entertainment strategy. For the first time in years, the traditional infield music festival will not take place. Instead, organizers are focusing on providing a more accessible and streamlined experience with performances by T-Pain and Wyclef Jean.

The performances will be visible from the grandstand, select hospitality areas, and via livestream throughout the venue. The Infield Fan Zone, hosted by Ray Lewis, will offer an alternative experience to the traditional music festival atmosphere.

Attendance at the Preakness has declined since the pandemic, but organizers are optimistic that the 150th installment and the chance to see the final Preakness at Pimlico will draw more people. Ticket sales are reportedly strong, despite the absence of the traditional music festival.
