Eric Singleton Jr.'s decision to enter the transfer portal comes after a productive season with Auburn. He was the No. 1-ranked receiver in the portal last offseason when he transferred from Georgia Tech. During his time with the Yellow Jackets, he showcased his talent, earning Freshman All-American honors and being named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Rookie of the Year runner-up in 2023.

Florida's interest in Singleton is driven by his existing relationships with members of the Gators' coaching staff. He played under offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner at Georgia Tech and wide receivers coach Marcus Davis at Auburn. This familiarity could give Florida an edge in recruiting him.

The Gators have already added several transfer portal prospects this offseason, including wide receivers Micah Mays Jr. (Wake Forest) and Bailey Stockton (Georgia Tech). The transfer portal will remain open until January 16, giving teams a limited window to finalize their rosters.
