Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Release Date, Features, and More

Release Date:: July 9, 2026, on PS5/PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Ubisoft Store, Epic Games, Steam/Steam Deck), Ubisoft+ subscription, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Blacknut.

Faithful Recreation:: Built on the latest Anvil Engine, led by Ubisoft Singapore with returning developers.

Graphical Enhancements:: Ray-traced lighting, optimized performance with 60 FPS options on consoles, and modernized water rendering.

New Content:: New officers for the Jackdaw, reworked playas with new rewards, additional missions with Matt Ryan (original voice of Edward Kenway), and more customization options for the Jackdaw.

Combat and Stealth Reworked:: New visceral takedowns, parrying mechanics, quick-fire rope dart and pistol moves, and improved stealth gameplay.

Not an RPG:: Ubisoft emphasizes that the game remains an action-adventure title, despite the updated combat mechanics and customizable HUD.

Stealth Improvements:: The game introduces an observe mode (extended Eagle Vision), crouch-anywhere, and dive-anywhere mechanics. Shadows and low light will affect Edward’s visibility during stealth sequences.

Naval Combat:: New secondary weapons, such as shrapnel barrels and 8-pounders, have been added. Enemy ships and factions have been reworked to add different equipment depending on their alliances.

Dynamic Weather:: The Anvil engine's Atmos system brings the Caribbean weather to life, with destructible objects reacting to weather and combat.

Customizable HUD:: Similar to Assassin's Creed Shadows, Black Flag Resynced offers a fully customizable HUD, allowing players to enable or disable most elements.
