Manager Rob Thomson aims to balance Castellanos' playing time with the need for defensive stability, often substituting him with Harrison Bader, known for his strong defensive skills. Thomson communicates the playing schedule in advance to ease the adjustment for Castellanos and other outfielders like Brandon Marsh and Max Kepler.

Castellanos' frustration isn't new. In June, an 'inappropriate' comment after being pulled from a game led to a benching. Despite these challenges, Thomson believes Castellanos is capable of prioritizing the team's goals.

Castellanos said he is dealing with it 'the best I can.'
