The Great Divide Tour: A Homecoming Like No Other
Noah Kahan's four-night stand at Fenway Park (July 7, 8, 10, and 11) was more than just a concert series — it was a celebration of his deep New England roots. Born in Vermont and a former resident of Watertown, Massachusetts, Kahan turned the historic ballpark into a living room for his devoted fanbase.
The Stage Production
Kahan transformed the Fenway stage into a house, using screens to immerse fans in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. He opened the show by pushing through a front door onto a porch, kicking off with "American Cars" and "Doors" from his album *The Great Divide*.
Setlist Highlights
Over 2½ hours, Kahan performed songs both old and new, including:
•"Forever": — dedicated to Zuza Beine, a teen cancer patient who attended Kahan's 2024 Fenway shows on a bucket list trip before passing away.
•"Carlo's Song": — in honor of his late friend.
•"Dial Drunk": — performed while "getting arrested" onstage, singing on and inside a car brought onto the stage.
•"Northern Attitude": and **"Homesick"** — distinctly New England anthems that had fans scream-singing lyrics like "I'm mean because I grew up in New England."
•"Stick Season": — the night closed with an extended version of his breakthrough hit, featuring a spectacular fireworks show.
The Fan Experience Outside Fenway
While over 150,000 fans filled the seats inside, hundreds more gathered outside the gates on Lansdowne Street, creating a spontaneous street party. Fans sang, danced, and cheered alongside those with tickets. As one fan put it: "So many people who weren't able to get tickets still showed up to be a part of this, and I think that's special."
The atmosphere outside was described as "electric," with fans making new friends and sharing the common experience of Kahan's music. For many, being outside Fenway became a unique experience in itself — a testament to the community Kahan's music has built.
