Oklahoma Farmer Killed by Water Buffaloes He Bought at Auction

Bradley McMichael, 45, died on his farm in Jones, Oklahoma, after being attacked by two water buffaloes he had purchased at a livestock auction the previous day. First responders were initially unable to reach McMichael due to the aggressive behavior of the animals. One buffalo was put down to allow access to the victim, while the second was later euthanized due to its continued agitation and threat to emergency personnel.

McMichael's girlfriend, Jennifer Green, told KOCO that he saw the water buffaloes as an opportunity for meat production, and that he was experienced in handling exotic animals.
