Downtown LA Stabbing Injures Multiple People

On March 23, 2026, a pair of violent incidents unfolded in downtown Los Angeles, leaving a total of at least 6 people injured. The first incident occurred at Zaya Restaurant, located at 7th Street and Olive Street, where a fight broke out during a party, resulting in four people being stabbed. According to reports, the argument escalated, and victims sustained lacerations to the arms, back, and neck. Two suspects were apprehended at the scene.

Simultaneously, a separate incident occurred on the 500 block of W. 7th Street, where a bar fight escalated into a stabbing, leaving one person hospitalized and five others injured. Police reports indicate that a man smashed a glass bottle over another person's head, and a woman then stabbed three people with a knife. Two individuals were also taken into custody in connection to this incident.

The LAPD's Central Division responded to both scenes, initiating investigations and advising the public to avoid the affected areas near 7th Street and Flower Street. SkyCal flew over the area, capturing the significant law enforcement presence and the crime scene tape surrounding the locations.
