Idaho Firefighter Ambush: Gunman Dead, Community Mourns

The brush fire, named the Nettleton Gulch Fire, has burned approximately 20 acres. Firefighting efforts were initially delayed due to the active shooter situation but resumed once the area was secured. Aircraft, heavy equipment, and specialized teams are now working to contain the blaze. Kootenai County officials are evaluating emergency response protocols in light of the attack.
