Luxury Rental Owner Arrested for Filming Guests, Including Minors

Christian Edwards' arrest has sent shockwaves through the Oakhurst community. The Madera County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) is actively investigating the case, urging anyone who stayed at Edwards' rental property to contact them. The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) alerted authorities to potential child sexual abuse material at the property. Upon searching the premises, detectives discovered evidence suggesting Edwards had been recording guests in private moments without their consent. According to ABC7 Los Angeles, no hidden cameras were used; instead, Edwards allegedly exploited cracks in the blinds to record his guests. The suspect started renting the property in 2023.

Edwards faces felony charges of invasion of privacy and possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
