The location of DD Café near La Quinta High School violates the Garden Grove Municipal Code, which prohibits adult entertainment venues within 1,000 feet of schools. This proximity has raised significant concerns among local residents.

On February 5, 2026, the Garden Grove Police Department's Special Investigations Unit, along with Gang Suppression Officers and patrol officers, served a search warrant at DD Café. The operation resulted in 17 arrests, and the business was subsequently red-tagged by Garden Grove Code Enforcement, rendering it legally uninhabitable.

Potential penalties for those arrested include charges for illegal gambling, drug and weapon enhancements, and violations of Garden Grove Municipal Codes.
