Scottsdale Fight Leaves Man Dead, Five Arrested

On October 11, 2025, TJ Pizzitola was found unconscious near Scottsdale Road and 1st Avenue after an altercation. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The incident began when Pizzitola and his friends were escorted out of Pattie's First Avenue Lounge. A subsequent encounter led to an argument, and Drew Meneses allegedly punched Pizzitola from behind, causing fatal brain injuries.

Cellphone video captured the incident, showing Meneses allegedly striking Pizzitola while his arms were at his side. The community is now supporting Pizzitola's pregnant wife and unborn child. A fundraiser has been set up to help support Krisan and their baby boy. There will also be a community event to help support the family at The 44 Sports Grill in Glendale on November 16.

An argument ensued after one of Pizzitola's friends reportedly bumped into a woman outside a bar.

Drew Meneses is charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault. The others face charges including aggravated assault, assault, and disorderly conduct.
