Judge High-Edward strongly criticized the defense attorneys for their actions, stating they were "evasive, obstructionist, litigious, and contemptuous." The removal of the attorneys will cause further delays, but the judge felt it was necessary to ensure justice. The new trial date is set for June 15, with Victoria Blumhorst assigned as Khaleel's counsel.
