Wichita Stabbing Leaves One Dead and Another Injured

On Thursday afternoon, Wichita police responded to a domestic disturbance call from the 6300 block of West Kellogg. Sinay Leon-Montoya, the victim, had difficulty communicating with dispatchers due to a language barrier. She then returned to an apartment on West Par Lane, where the stabbing occurred.

Upon arrival at the apartment complex near Central and Ridge, officers found a woman with stab wounds outside the building. Inside, they discovered Leon-Montoya with fatal stab wounds and the suspect, Edward Millan-Volcan. Leon-Montoya was transported to a local hospital, where she died.

The investigation revealed that Leon-Montoya and Millan-Volcan had children together who were present during the incident. Millan-Volcan faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder and aggravated child endangerment.
