Body of Missing UH Student Found in Brays Bayou

Jade McKissic's disappearance and subsequent death have shaken the University of Houston. McKissic, known to friends as Sage, was described as a dedicated student and active member of the university community, working as a desk assistant and participating in the student orientation team. The University has urged students to utilize available counseling and psychological services during this difficult time. The location where the body was found, Brays Bayou, has been the site of other body discoveries this year, raising concerns in the community.

Jade McKissic was last seen on September 11, 2025, leaving LA Burgers and Daiquiris.

Her body was recovered from Brays Bayou near Spur 5 South, less than a mile from the UH campus.

The University is offering counseling and psychological services, as well as a 988 Crisis Line for students in need of support.
