Guadalajara Cleans Up Nearly 600 Tons of Trash from Canals and Underpasses

Key areas like the Luis Covarrubias canal, Tetlán-Río Verde canal, and El Jaguey are monitored closely due to frequent illegal dumping. Despite continuous cleaning, some channels need to be cleared up to five times due to persistent littering. The municipality urges residents not to dispose of garbage in public areas and offers a collection service for large items (call 070). Justice Civic direction is sanctioning people caught throwing garbage in the streets, raising polemic between citizens.
