Concertgoer Arrested After Altercation at NBA YoungBoy Concert in Miami

On Monday night, officers working an off-duty detail at the Kaseya Center responded to a disturbance in Section 311 during an NBA YoungBoy concert. According to police reports, Marcus Antwon Reed Jr. was allegedly not complying with arena rules and made unwanted physical contact with a female officer.

When officers attempted to remove Reed, he resisted, grabbing a nearby handrail. A Taser was deployed but did not subdue him. Surveillance video shows Reed and several officers falling approximately 15 rows down the seating area during the struggle.

Reed was eventually handcuffed and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for medical clearance before being transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. He faces multiple charges, including battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence.

Miami Police spokesman Michael Vega emphasized the importance of concertgoers adhering to venue rules and regulations to avoid similar incidents.

Reed faces two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and four counts of resisting an officer with violence.

No serious injuries were reported to officers or other concertgoers.

He was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $7,500 bond.
