Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs to $800 Million After No Winner on October 31

The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since it was last won in Virginia on June 27, 2025. The current jackpot ranks among the top 10 largest in Mega Millions history.

The game involves selecting five numbers from 1 to 70 and one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. Tickets cost $2 per play, and the Megaplier option, which increases non-jackpot prizes, costs an additional $1 per play.

While the odds of winning the jackpot are slim, there are nine ways to win a prize, ranging from $2 to the jackpot. Matching just the Mega Ball wins a prize. Several states offer online ticket purchases, expanding accessibility for players.

Several large single-ticket Mega Millions prizes have been awarded in the past, including a $1.602 billion prize won in Florida on Aug. 8, 2023; $1.537 billion won in South Carolina on Oct. 23, 2018; $1.348 billion won in Maine on Jan. 13, 2023; $1.337 billion won in Illinois on July 29, 2022 and $1.050 billion won in Michigan on Jan. 22, 2021.

The winning numbers were 2, 24, 52, 66, 68, and the Mega Ball was 9.

The jackpot for the drawing on Tuesday, November 4, is estimated to be $800 million.

The location where the $20,000 winning ticket was sold in Ohio was not immediately released.
