Dominion Energy reported that most customers had their power restored by 11 p.m., with full restoration expected by early morning. The cause of the outage is currently under investigation.

Similarly, on May 12, 2025, a vehicle crash in Westbrook, Maine, caused significant power outages, impacting over 3,400 customers. The Westbrook Police Department reported that the crash on Brown Street knocked out power to a large area on the north side of the Presumpscot River. Power was restored by 3:45 p.m. No injuries were reported in the crash.
