9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs Honor Fallen Heroes in 2025

Several communities are organizing 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs to remember the first responders who died during the attacks on the World Trade Center. In Truckee, CA, the High Fives Foundation, in partnership with 15 local organizations, will host its 4th Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Participants will climb 110 flights of stairs behind Tahoe Mountain Realty, mirroring the height of one of the Twin Towers. The event aims to raise awareness about mental health and fund local services.

In Idaho Falls, ID, Anheuser-Busch is hosting its annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Idaho Falls Malting Facility. Local first responders will climb stairs to honor the fallen, with opportunities for the public to donate to chosen charities per stair, through flat donations, or via sponsorships.

In Greenville, SC, the Greenville City 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb returns to Fluor Field. Participants will climb the equivalent of 110 stories of the World Trade Center, with proceeds benefiting the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) and the FDNY Counseling Services Unit.

These events not only serve as a tribute but also as a way to support the ongoing needs of firefighters and their families. Participants are encouraged to personalize their climb, honoring loved ones and reflecting on the significance of the day.

Most events are open to the public, but advance registration may be required.
