Raphaël Graven, a 46-year-old military veteran, had amassed a large following by streaming video games and participating in extreme challenges. These challenges often involved other streamers assaulting or humiliating him. His final livestream, lasting nearly 300 hours, featured incidents such as being woken up by a revving motorbike and having water thrown over him.

Fellow streamers Owen Cenazandotti (Naruto online) and Safine Hamadi were involved in Pormanove’s final livestream. Cenazandotti announced Pormanove's death on Instagram, while Hamadi's lawyer acknowledged that while some actions were simulated, others, like blows, were not always staged but were consented to.

French Secretary of State for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs Clara Chappaz called the death an "absolute horror," emphasizing the humiliation and mistreatment Pormanove endured on Kick. Kick has banned all involved parties pending the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities seizing equipment and videos to clarify the events leading up to Pormanove's death. Cenazandotti has also filed a complaint, claiming online harassment since the incident.

While the initial autopsy ruled out traumatic injury or third-party involvement, further tests are being conducted to determine if medical or toxicological factors contributed to his death.

Kick has banned all streamers involved in the broadcast pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation and is cooperating with authorities.
