I-81 Crashes Amplify Rush Hour Delays in Cumberland and Dauphin Counties

On July 2, 2025, two separate crashes on Interstate 81 significantly disrupted rush hour traffic in Cumberland and Dauphin counties. Less than an hour later, a second crash occurred on I-81 north, less than a mile south of Exit 65 for US 11/15 Enola/Marysville. This incident caused further backups, extending across the George N. Wade Memorial Bridge. While the extent of injuries remains unclear, both incidents prompted significant responses from local emergency units, including the Susquehanna Township Fire Companies and PSP units from Harrisburg.
