First responders, including the U.S. Coast Guard and local emergency teams, rushed to the scene. Two people were immediately rescued, but six were pronounced dead, and two remained missing until Monday when the last body was recovered. The deceased were identified as Joshua Pickles, Terry Pickles, Paula Bozinovich, Peter Bayes, Timothy O’Leary, Theresa Giullari, James Guck, and Stephen Lindsay.
