Autumn Weather and Peak Foliage in Korea

The peak foliage season in Korea is typically a beautiful time to visit the mountains and parks. According to News1, the peak foliage season is usually between early and mid-November. This year, daytime temperatures are expected to be higher than average, but the daily temperature range will be significant, with morning temperatures dropping to around 5 degrees Celsius in most areas. This difference can be as high as 15 degrees Celsius.

On Saturday, November 15, the weather will be mostly clear with daytime highs ranging from 14 to 19 degrees Celsius. However, early morning fog is expected in inland areas. On Sunday, November 16, the weather will gradually become cloudy, especially in the central regions, with light rainfall expected in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon inland, and mountain regions from late afternoon to evening. The expected rainfall is minimal, around 5mm or less in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon, and around 1mm in Chungcheong and Jeonbuk. Higher elevations in Gangwon may see rain or snow.

The dry conditions in Gangwon's east coast warrant extra caution for hikers and visitors, as fire hazards may be elevated.

The peak foliage season is expected around mid-November.

Daytime temperatures will be mild, but there will be significant daily temperature variations.

Light rainfall is expected in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon late on Sunday.
