Temple Updates: Milestones in Mexico, Brazil, Idaho, and South Carolina

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints continues to expand its global presence with new temples and advancements on existing projects. These temples serve as sacred spaces for members to strengthen their faith and unite families through religious ordinances.

The San Luis Potosí Mexico Temple open house provides an opportunity for the public to learn more about the temple’s purpose and significance. The dedication by Elder Dale G. Renlund will be a significant event for the local Latter-day Saint community.

The Santos Brazil Temple groundbreaking marks the beginning of construction for another dedicated house of the Lord in Brazil. With over 1.5 million members in Brazil, this temple will serve a large and growing population.

The Caldwell Idaho Temple joins a network of temples in Idaho, reflecting the strong Latter-day Saint presence in the state. This temple will offer increased opportunities for members in the region to participate in temple worship.

The Greenville South Carolina Temple represents a growing presence in the southeastern United States. As the second temple in South Carolina, it demonstrates the Church’s commitment to serving its members across the region.

Temples are dedicated houses of the Lord where members can feel God’s love and peace, learn about God’s plan, make promises with God, and unite families through sacred ordinances.

The dedication is scheduled for November 1, 2026.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on August 1, 2026.
