Las Vegas Sphere Turns Into Huge Moon to Celebrate NASA Mission

The Las Vegas Sphere, standing at 516 feet in width, offered a stunning visual representation of the Moon, timed with NASA's Artemis 2 mission. This mission, aimed at returning humans to the lunar surface, was celebrated in a creative way as the Sphere transformed into a massive lunar display. NASA provided a 3D model and audio from the April 1st launch, enhancing the realism of the spectacle. Simultaneously, country music star Kenny Chesney decided to cancel two of his Sphere shows scheduled for July 3rd and 4th. Chesney explained that he made this decision after realizing the importance of Independence Day traditions for his fans, not wanting to interfere with their holiday plans. He had previously added these dates to his Sphere residency, which now consists of four shows: July 1, 8, 10, and 11. Chesney had already headlined 15 shows at the Sphere, concluding in June 2025, marking him as the first country headliner at the venue.
