Savannah Bananas Bring Banana Ball to Neyland Stadium

Neyland Stadium is transforming into a baseball field, a project that took the university grounds crew over three weeks. The conversion involved bringing in clay and dirt to create a baseball diamond and mound, ensuring the field is ready for the game while also guaranteeing it will be restored for football season.

The game will follow Banana Ball rules, offering a fast-paced, engaging experience. The pre-game plaza opens at 2 p.m. with various activities, player introductions begin at 6:30 p.m., and the game starts at 7 p.m. Attendees are advised to arrive early and adhere to the stadium's clear bag policy.

Traffic patterns tested during the Luke Combs concert will be in effect, with westbound lanes on Neyland Drive leading to Alcoa Highway, I-40, and Kingston Pike. A Kingston Pike express lane will provide faster access, and no eastbound traffic will be allowed.

Fans who haven’t pre-purchased parking can use Park and Ride shuttles from the Civic Coliseum or Market Square area. Limited parking may be available at the Ag Campus, but fans should be aware of potential conflicts with a Tennessee softball game.

The Pre-Game Plaza opens at 2 p.m. with live music, player appearances, and dance parties.
