RIT Athletics: September 2025 Update

Men's Soccer

The RIT men's soccer team had a busy week, facing Houghton at home and then traveling to Geneva (Pa.). They aimed to secure their first win after a previous loss to Brockport.

Women's Tennis

The women's tennis team started their fall season at home against Geneseo.

Women's Soccer

The women's soccer team traveled to Chicago for neutral-site contests against Trine and Wisconsin-Eau Claire, building on their strong start to the 2025 season.

Cross Country

The cross country teams competed in Brockport's Tom Balon Alumni Classic.

Volleyball

The volleyball team played a pair of matches at Mt. Aloysius, facing Waynesburg and the hosts, following a successful weekend at the Saint Vincent Bearcat Challenge.

Hockey

Ben Roger, a former second-round NHL draft pick by the Ottawa Senators, has committed to RIT's hockey program. After his rights with the Senators expired, the 22-year-old defenseman will leverage the new NCAA rule to play for RIT. Despite being a long shot for the NHL, his performance at the collegiate level could revive interest from NHL clubs.
