After starting with a full delivery and pulling his length back, Khan delivered an in-swinging yorker followed by the decisive short ball aimed at the middle stump. Kohli, attempting a pull shot, was caught off guard by the pace and length, finding the fielder Prasidh Krishna at deep square leg. This early breakthrough put RCB under pressure, and they subsequently lost Devdutt Padikkal and Phil Salt, slumping to 36 for three shortly after.
