The victory marks Benjamin's second state title in three years, showcasing the program's strength and consistency. Woods' individual performance, tying for fourth overall, further solidifies his reputation as a rising star in junior golf. His recent achievements, including winning the AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational and tying for ninth at the Junior PGA Championship, have garnered attention from college programs. With his current ranking as the AJGA's highest-ranked 2027 recruit who has yet to verbally commit, the competition for his commitment is expected to be intense. Schools in the SEC and ACC are reportedly showing interest, with Florida State's head coach even being photographed following Woods at the event.

Several top schools in both the SEC and ACC are believed to be interested in Woods, including Florida State.

Woods recently won the AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational in May and tied for ninth at the Junior PGA Championship this summer. He was also named a first-team AJGA Rolex Junior All-American.

Mingbo Jiang, a USC signee from First Academy, won the individual title.
