Lacrosse Standouts DiCarlo and Leiby Named IWLCA Scholar-Athletes of the Year

Tori DiCarlo's achievements at the Naval Academy include being a two-time Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American. She also ranked 11th in her class in overall order of merit.

Emily Leiby, a five-time MAC Academic Honor Roll selection, has received multiple engineering scholarships and the Stevens Harold J. Raveché Award for academic and athletic excellence. She also earned the Robert Ridgeway Award for her leadership.

These awards underscore the commitment of these athletes to maintaining high academic standards while performing at an elite level in lacrosse. Their success demonstrates that it is possible to achieve excellence in both areas with dedication and hard work.

Nominees must be a senior or graduate student in their final year of athletic eligibility, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, and be a starter or significant contributor to their team.

Navy had five student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll: Tori DiCarlo, Maggie DeFabio, Lizzie Kelley, Josie Mazzeo, and Grace Peterson.

Leiby was named an All-American, earned MAC Freedom Attacker of the Year honors, and maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA.
