Dominic Canzone's emergence has also played a role in Tellez's departure. Canzone has hit in six of nine games since being recalled from the minors, posting a .778 OPS during that span. His ability to provide slightly better-than-average offense in right field gives the Mariners another option, potentially allowing Raley to focus on first base duties.
