Great Ethiopian Run Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Heritage Plaque and Massive Turnout

Founded in 2001 by Ethiopian athletics icon Haile Gebrselassie, the Great Ethiopian Run has evolved into Africa's largest 10-kilometer road race. The 25th edition, themed 'A Nation in 10 KM,' saw participation from elite athletes, recreational runners, and international guests. Addis Ababa’s Mayor Adanech Abiebie and Tourism Minister Selamawit Kassa were among the attendees, highlighting the race's importance to the city and the nation.
