Wheeling Wrestling Drops Salem Tri-Meet in Prelude to Regionals

Wheeling University's wrestling team faced tough competition at the Salem Tri-Meet. The first match against Seton Hill saw the Cardinals struggling early, with forfeits and quick pinfalls putting them at a significant disadvantage. Bradley Spencer's decision victory provided a spark, and later wins by Jaxon Burcher and Gavin Harper in the heavyweight classes demonstrated individual strength.

Against Salem, Brent Bosley's early pin evened the score, but Salem quickly regained the lead. Jake Taylor's dominant tech fall win was a highlight, and Burcher and Harper again contributed with key victories. However, forfeits and losses in other weight classes ultimately led to the team's defeat.
