Avelo Airlines Expands Flight Offerings Across Multiple Cities

Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU):: Avelo is increasing non-stop flights to New Haven, Albany, and Rochester. Flights to Albany will double to four times weekly starting Sept. 11, while Rochester will see five weekly flights starting Sept. 12. Daily service to New Haven begins Oct. 1, with twice-daily flights around the holidays.

Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport:: Starting Sept. 12, Avelo will increase flights to Concord-Padgett Regional Airport to four times per week and to Raleigh-Durham International Airport to five times per week.

Wilmington Airport:: Starting Oct. 1, flights to Orlando International Airport will expand from two to four times a week, with new Wednesday and Saturday departures joining existing Monday and Friday service. That same day, Avelo will resume its nonstop San Juan route , offering Wednesday and Saturday flights after a September pause. Additional trips will be available around Thanksgiving and Christmas to accommodate holiday travel demand.

RDU Expansion:: The addition of flights to Albany, Rochester, and New Haven addresses the demand for convenient travel options to the Northeast. This expansion follows the cancellation of a nonstop service to the Bahamas due to low demand, indicating Avelo's data-driven approach to route management.

Rochester Expansion:: Increasing flights to North Carolina destinations caters to both business and leisure travelers. Avelo's service from Rochester also includes flights to Wilmington, N.C., Lakeland, Fla., and Nashville, providing a diverse range of travel options.

Wilmington Expansion:: The increased service to Orlando and the early resumption of the San Juan route highlight Avelo's commitment to serving the Wilmington market. The airline launched service at Wilmington Airport in February 2023, marking the return of commercial air operations in Delaware.
