SeaWorld San Diego Unveils Summer 2026 Lineup: Shark Encounter, Drone Show, and Dollar Beers

SeaWorld San Diego's summer 2026 lineup focuses on enhancing guest experience through a blend of education and entertainment. The Shark Encounter exhibit, which underwent a 10-month, multi-million dollar renovation, now features a 180-degree view aquarium with 11 shark species, including sand tiger sharks and endangered Australian leopard sharks. The exhibit emphasizes the importance of sharks in marine ecosystems, with educators providing insights into shark behavior and diet. Visitors can even participate in shark feeding experiences for an additional fee.

Replacing the traditional fireworks show, 'Ocean of Dreams' employs 600 synchronized drones to create stunning visuals of sea otters, sharks, dolphins, and orcas. This innovative approach not only reduces environmental impact but also offers a captivating spectacle that aligns with SeaWorld's marine conservation mission.

Adding to the summer fun, SeaWorld is offering $1 beers, including its Emperor Hazy IPA and Arctic Rescue Blue Seltzer, reminiscent of the park's earlier days when free beer was a perk. This promotion, combined with other new offerings like the Deep Sea Disco and nighttime animal experiences, aims to attract a broad audience and create a vibrant atmosphere throughout the summer.

SeaWorld is introducing a renovated Shark Encounter exhibit, a nightly drone show called 'Ocean of Dreams,' and offering $1 beers.

The show runs nightly from May 22 through August 9, then weekends only through September 7.

The exhibit includes sand tiger sharks, blacktip reef sharks, and the endangered Australian leopard shark, among others.
