Shay Mitchell and Livvy Dunne Join 'Baywatch' Reboot Cast

The 'Baywatch' reboot aims to capture the essence of the original series while introducing new characters and storylines to resonate with modern audiences. Mitchell's character, Trina, adds a layer of depth with her background as a lawyer, while Dunne's role as Grace brings youthful energy to the lifeguard squad.

The series will follow Hobie Buchannon (played by Stephen Amell), the son of Mitch Buchannon, as he navigates his role as a Baywatch captain. The arrival of his daughter, Charlie (Jessica Belkin), adds a family dynamic to the mix, as she aspires to become a lifeguard alongside her father.

Fox has teased that the reboot will feature adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with a new cast donning the show’s signature red swimsuits, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline.

Brooks Nader, another cast member, has also been in the news recently, not only for her role in Baywatch, but for her public appearances. She was photographed with her sisters wearing bubble-inspired outfits, bringing a whimsical fashion sense to the media, showcasing the cast's presence both on and off-screen.

The series is scheduled to launch in the fall as part of Fox’s 2026-2027 season.
