Rob Brydon to Host UK Version of "The Floor" Game Show

Rob Brydon, best known for his roles in 'Gavin & Stacey' and 'Would I Lie to You?', will host ITV's UK adaptation of 'The Floor'. In this game show, 81 contestants will compete on a large LED floor divided into a square grid. Each contestant has a specialist subject and must win duels against neighboring contestants to take over their squares.

The show, which originated in the Netherlands and gained popularity in the US with Rob Lowe as host, involves contestants answering questions in their opponent's chosen category. The winner claims the loser’s square, eliminating them from the game. Over ten episodes, the last contestant standing wins a £50,000 prize.

ITV is betting on Brydon’s charm and wit to make the show a Saturday night hit. Katie Rawcliffe, ITV's Director of Entertainment, expressed her delight in welcoming Brydon to the ITV family. South Shore, the production company behind 'All or Nothing: Arsenal,' will produce the UK version, which will be filmed at Talpa’s Dutch production hub.
