RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 10 Recap: Stagecooch

The episode begins with the queens distributing points from the previous challenge. The first Messy Points distribution goes uneventfully, with a point awarded to each non-lipsyncing queen. After a 30th anniversary 'tribute' to Clueless, the queens divide into two country girl groups for revenge anthem 'Key Your Car' and ode to bootknocking 'Trailer Hitch.'

'Key Your Car' presents Daya, Cynthia, and Ginger as a kind of 'Sanderson Sisters Go West'—the Salloonderson Sisters. The standout of their group is Cynthia. 'Trailer Hitch' gives Denali a spotlight for her love of songwriting and Alyssa an avenue to showcase her love of miming.

On the Night of 1,000 Mileys runway, the queens mostly serve faithful replicas, both good (Daya is spiky sleek, Denali gives iconic bear costume and foam finger) and so-so (Alyssa goes Grammys, and Cynthia serves VMA pop art patchwork). On opposite ends of the spectrum are Acid and Ginger with less literal interpretations. Ginger takes on a red carpet Miley look that lacks immediate recognizability and is among the weakest looks anyway. Meanwhile, Acid gets deserved high marks for doing a fusion of Miley’s aesthetic with her own, serving ahem the best of both worlds.

The main challenge was a girl group 'Hoedown Throwdown' for the fictional country music festival 'Stagecooch,' where the queens had to perform in two teams.

Denali and Ginger were the winners of the main challenge.

Acid Betty strategized to break up the Ginger-Daya alliance by encouraging the other queens to throw their points to Denali.
