North and Central Florida are bracing for a more significant temperature drop. The approaching cold front, trailing a late-season winter storm, will bring near-freezing temperatures to the Panhandle and North Florida.

Spring breakers should be aware of the potential for storms and cooler temperatures throughout Florida. While the western half of the country is experiencing a heat wave, Florida will be facing a late-season chill. Disney World spring breakers can expect high temperatures in the low 80s on Monday, plummeting to a daytime high of near 60 degrees on Tuesday. Wednesday morning in Orlando could drop into the 40s.

Near-freezing temperatures are expected in the Panhandle and North Florida.

South Florida will experience cooler temperatures, with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Some isolated areas around Tampa could see 4 to 6 inches of rain over seven days, with the heaviest showers expected over the weekend. High-end rainfall in South Florida could be 2 to 3 inches.
