On July 4th, 2025, the Hennepin County Water Patrol responded to a report of theft at Maynard’s Restaurant on Lake Minnetonka. The victim, identified as I.B., reported that his Louis Vuitton duffel bag, valued at $2,400 and containing a Rolex watch, cash, clothing, and other items, was stolen from a boat.
According to court documents, Frattalone was also on the boat. A Maynard’s employee allegedly saw Frattalone attempting to carry the bag through the restaurant, which was against policy. When questioned about the missing bag, Frattalone reportedly offered to have his parents write a check for the contents.
A search warrant executed at Frattalone’s residence led to the recovery of the bag, but the Rolex watch remains missing. Frattalone was subsequently arrested and charged with felony theft. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 11th.
Prior to this incident, Frattalone was involved in a separate incident in Fargo, ND, where shots were fired during an argument he was involved in. While he was not charged in connection with the shooting, his teammate was dismissed from the team.
Frattalone’s dismissal from the NDSU football team marks a significant turning point in his athletic career. The charges he faces carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and/or a $100,000 fine.
